HTC Merge: HTC’s First Touch Screen CDMA Mobile Phone




The touch screen giant in the mobile industry, HTC is launching yet another of its smartphone this year, the HTC Merge. With a number of phones from HTC lined up for release this year, the company is supposed to take up the market. This phone will be released specifically for the CDMA users, with Verizon as the exclusive operator. So now the CDMA users who had such a narrow range of choice, here is another phone being added for them to broaden their spectrum.

For the CDMA users it will be one of the few android phones available, and the HTC’s first CDMA Android phone. The handset has a slider phone and is running the Android 2.2 OS with HTC Sense. Also the phone is powered by 800MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

The phone houses a 3.8’’ touch screen display, 5MP digital camera with auto focus and LED flash. The HTC Merge has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, thus a treat for the social networking and messaging fans. GPS support, GPRS, Bluetooth, USB, Wi-Fi, 3G all are included in this handset. The phone is rumored to hit the market in early Spring this year but nothing has been made official yet. The price and other specifications of the phone still remain a mystery until any official announcement is made regarding this all new HTC phone.
